In recent years I noticed a lot of public urinals having “ant stickers” on them (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=121310977). When I tried to find an explanation I realized that companies use them in order for us to be more precise when relieving ourselves.

This week I thought a lot about using games in order to make daily tasks more fun and exciting. That is how we cameĀ up with this application.

We mapped the retro game of Space Invaders to be projected on ITP’s urinal. The idea was to use a thermo camera to detect the direction of the urine but because this camera is still on its way I used face detection techniques to control the shooter using the position of the user’s face.

This is still work in progress. A more detailed and well documented post will be uploaded soon.
